Leave My Guitar Alone
Noel Gallagher
2015

Let's get right to my hot take:  Noel Gallagher is the greatest songwriter in the last 30 years.  There, I said it!  I will die on this hill, my friends.  If you know me, you know my love for Oasis but my love for Noel is just as strong.  To paraphrase The Police, every little thing this guy does is magic.  Pretty sure my family has collectively rolled their 10 eyeballs at my love for Noel at this point, but that doesn't mean that you should!  This guy is just an absolute legend.  All he does is produce perfect pop/rock songs.

So you probably know that after Noel and his brother Liam split up, Noel went on to form his solo band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (ok, you probably didn't know that).  But what you probably don't know is this little ditty.  In fact, I'm very confident that other than my immediate five family members, you've never heard this song.  This is a b-side off a single from his second solo album and as far as I can tell never played live before.  This is just another Noel classic, and you can really hear The Beatles' influence on this one.  I love it.

I can best sum up Noel Gallagher from a comment in the YouTube video (thanks betacall9634!) to this one:  "The saddest thing about hearing one of Noel's tunes for the first time is you will never hear it for the first time again."  Amen.
